The heart of Bergslagen is a perfect destination for those who want to hike. Here you can experience the fantastic Västmanland nature up close. There are several wonderful hikes for you to choose from, for example the beautiful Landsberg triangle with the hammock forest or in the nature reserve Hälleskogsbrännan after the big forest fire in 2014 as well as walking trails in beautiful Ängelsberg with its world heritage.
Take the dog with you on the hike. For those of you who like to walk with your dog, the dog is welcome at the hotel at no extra cost. We also make it extra cozy for your four-legged friend with a blanket to sleep on and water bowl in the room.

Cancellation policy:
You can book free of charge up to and including 18:00 three days before the day of arrival. Example, if you are going to check in on Thursday, May 20, you must book by 18:00 on Monday, May 17 at the latest for it to be free of charge, after that one night will be charged.
The utility route
In Fagersta there are several hiking trails. Among other things, the Bruksleden, which stretches from Västerås in the south to Malingsbo in the northwest and Avesta in the northeast. In total, there are approximately 50 miles of marked hiking trails in Bergslagen’s beautiful and varied nature. Click here

Nature reserve
There are also several nature reserves with pleasant hiking trails around Fagersta. For example, the famous Hälleskogsbrännan, the area after the big forest fire in 2014. Walking paths in Ängelsberg
In beautiful Ängelsberg (approx. 15 km outside Fagersta) there are several signposted walking paths to walk on and enjoy the peaceful nature.
